網上崇拜可行嗎？

隨著武漢肺炎在香港的疫情愈來愈嚴重，愈來愈多堂會暫停了主日現場的崇拜（或稱為「實體崇拜」），取而代之的是網上的直播或錄播的崇拜。這改變也在香港的基督教界引起爭議，有人擁抱，有人抗拒，而當中其中一個爭議點，就是「停止聚會」（參考《希伯來書》十24-25）與「真實的敬拜」（參考《約翰福音》四21-24）的理解。

不過在我看來，這其實是一個偽命題。因為網上崇拜根本就是聚會的一種形式，現在一些教會的嬰兒房在主日崇拜時透過電視作直播，又或者已有多年歷史的《權能時間》，也是這種模式的早期例子。現在網上崇拜只是將地理上的距離再拉遠，將這種模式的技術門檻降低而已。既然是聚會，就不存在停止聚會。

而且，將網上（或稱「虛擬」）及物理（或稱「實體」）世界太過劃分，也如過去將肉體與靈性二分般出現問題。我們相信的上帝既然是創造天地的主，也自然是網上世界的主。所以，上帝也同樣可以臨在網上崇拜之中，信眾也可以在網上崇拜時在基督裡彼此相通。這並不是一個新鮮的概念，當我們在背誦《使徒信經》時，宣認我們是參與在那獨一的大公教會中，與歷世歷代的聖徒相通時，其實也是超越了時間與空間的限制。這也是本文刻意避免使用「虛擬／實體」這用語的原因，因為網上不代表不真實，網上世界也可以是真實的存在。

當然，網上及物理世界是有區別的，現場崇拜與網上直播或錄播崇拜也是有區別的。現場互動、人與人的氣氛，是網上直播或錄播比不上現場崇拜的。演唱會看現場與在家中看碟感覺不同，是不爭的事實，但是這「比不上」並不會令聚會變成不是聚會。在疫情嚴重下，以網上直播或錄播崇拜取替現場崇拜，是一個可行的方案。

本文並沒有打算討論參與網上崇拜者的心態，不過若以參與者的心態來衡量是否參與在崇拜中，那麼參與了現場崇拜也不代表參與在崇拜中。至於崇拜的形式會否影響參與者的心態，說沒有是欺騙人的，但網上崇拜如何影響參與者的心態，有太多的可能性，是助力還是阻力，需要更多的數據作分析。現在討論只是一些猜想而已，未有足夠的實證支持。以「在家工作」（Home Office）作類比，有研究支持這工作模式有助提升效率，另一方面也有例子會有人藉在家工作為名，逃避工作為實，近日疫情中的「行山銀行」就是一例。所以，網上崇拜如何影響會眾參與的心態，還有待觀察。

這個網上及物理世界的討論可以再引伸下去，超越崇拜的範疇，去到堂會，以至整個宣教模型。不過關於網絡宣教的事宜，就留待之後文章再討論吧。
